Heartbeat

I was on the phone last night talking about youth ministry and I stopped for a second to take notice of what was going on. My heart was beating faster. Instantly, I was reminded of when Perry Noble was in the hospital and mentioned Joe Sangl pointing out that his heart sped up every time he talked about the church. When we are passionate about something and start talking about it, our hearts speed up. Mine was flying as I talked about the youth ministry at NewSpring.

I was looking over my internship application and instantly a voice said, "Why aren't you applying for a student ministry position?" So I am. I love student ministry and I love the kids I work with. I am passionate about student ministry and I want to see ours blow up for Jesus Christ. They are the present of the church, not the future and they are capable of moving mountains. I can sit and talk for hours about ministry and about my amazing small group. Love you girls!

It's something I love! I know this internship will technically be "work," but not to me. It won't be regular work and I instantly recognize that. This is work for a higher purpose. This is fun! God, not my will, but Yours be done!
